Hey guys I'm looking for a 3 speed manual tranny, and a radiator for a 1964 f-100 with a 223 engine.

Need a gas tank too.

Thanks
Matt

In 1972, Ford replaced the 1961/66 in cab gas tanks with the later 1967/72 tank. This newer tank has a 19.5 gallon capacity, and uses the original sending unit. Only one fitting is different.

So look for any 1967/72 tank in a wrecking yard. Get the fitting also, its right at the tank.

New radiators can be bought from parts houses, it may also be possible to have your old radiator re-cored. Transmission parts are available, what's wrong with yours, or don't you have one. Two different 3 speed transmissions (Ford & Warner) were used on the 223 engines in the 1960's. You'll want to get the correct one.

Thanks for the information. As for the tranny, the truck came with 2, 3 speeds. or at least I think they are 3 speeds. they were both layin in the back of the truck. one froze up and wont move. the other seems to shift from what I can tell by moving the clutch and shifter levers on the tranny. I have no idea what size tranny it is only that I think it is a 3 speed. I don't know how to read the numbers and find out. THere was no clutch , pressure plate or throw out bearing so I have to replace them as well.
And I think that the drive shaft is too long. it sure looks long to me.
I'm going to take the radiator to the shop tommorrow and see what they say.
Thaks for the information.
Matt
