Shall I Spend on Bronco????
this bronco is one of the best runnin machines i have ever encountered, i am a chevy man, but i am in high school and ave limited cash flow, i have worked my @$$ off for my grandpa, and he is buying me a vehicle in the 2500 price range, i went to the local ford dealer and fell in love, but i can't quite get gramps over the fact of surface rust, it is still repairable, the check engine light is on but it runs and drives fine

Shall I Spend on Bronco????
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-Jul-02 AT 00:28 AM (EST)]Act on it fast. I paid a hell of a lot more for my 93, which was in excellent condition. No rust anywhere, and the engines still strong. My only question that might explain the price...How many miles?

Shall I Spend on Bronco????
Buy it definately!! I've got an '86 Bronco that I paid too much for (Pay too much for a Ford? Hah) I paid $2700 for mine. It has little bits of rust (Well had. I'll explain later). It's got 160k on a rebuilt 351 H.O. all together about 300k. I've only had it a month and have had no major problems with it (Well until that Trans Am got in my way). That sounds like a really good deal on it. I was originally looking for a '73-'77 F-250 with a 4-speed (I'm a big time manual guy) and a rebuilt 390.
Well, I couldn't find one (Well I could but for some reason they've jumped immenssly in price since last summer). So I started looking for Chevys (Sorry guys. I love all American cars. Pontiac the most, but Ford is by far my second favorite car. A VERY close second). I found a few Chevys and called about them but no one called me back. So I was flipping through my truck trader and came across my Bronco. It looked really nice from the picture so I called. As soon as I saw it. I just fell in love with it. The little bits of rust on the fenders was no big deal, even though it was(is) and automatic, I loved it. Bronco's are one of the most fun trucks you can have. You can haul people. Small loads (fold down the seat and you've got almost as much room as a small truck bed). Plus it's fun because it's not exactly an SUV (at least I don't think so). It's a TRUCK. You can easily do anything better, quicker and more stylish than any yuppie in their SUV's. Sorry for the big rant, but I can't express enough how much I love my Bronco. I'm still working on getting it running again. Since I did plow a Trans Am. It messed my Bronco up pretty bad, strangely enough. I'm getting a new front-end tomorrow and I still need to figure out whats wrong with my passenger side wheel. But anyway. The Bronco is a great truck. I strongly sugguest it. The only thing I can really say about my Bronco that I don't like is it's horsepower. It's only got 210 (Thats what I read) I'm not sure how much torque it has but it feels like a lot. They're really great trucks. Also the '87+ are nice because they make a lot of aftermarket exhaust systems and other various parts. But, definately buy it.

ya i have looked at alot of broncos and this one is by far the cleanest, i looked at an 89 today with 113,000 miles for 4000
i thought that may be a bit steep, the one i am looking at now has 111,000, and it has the ocassional body rust of the broncos, but i love the way it runs

It's all about dreams and toys,I have an 83 Bronco that I got for a total of a $500 86 Bronco2 and $300 cash it has wheel well rust and had some wiring problems(fixed)and a bad rear main(fill up with oil and a gallon of gas and go haha)still leaks, but new powerplant in the works. If it died today I'd find away to bring it back to life before buying a new ford or pushing one of the others.Whatever you get have fun just remember BBFP(Big Bad Ford Power}.
