Lock-Right Locker and Ring/Pinion Installation Tips

I plan on installing a Lock-Right Locker and 4.10 Ring/Pinion Kit in my 1985 F150 2WD with the 8.8" rear end.

Although, a rear differential is something that I've never torn into before. I was wondering if there were any special tips or advice before I begin?

Thanks!

Check your ring gear backlash and preload before you disassemble. You wont be disturbing the ring gear, so no worries there. You will need aninch pound torque wrench and a dial indicator with mag base. Take your time and you should be fine.
