I am building a towing truck on a f350. I am working on the engine now. My question is, I want to use hedders but my 4 spped has a PTO unit hanging out the right (passengers Side) of the trans.. I need this so i can reinstall the winch. You know, everyone needs a winch.
I found Hedman headers pt number 89810 (89100). These are short. Might someone have tried these or some other brand?
Where do most people run the pipes, on top of the trans cross member or underneath?

 

I can pretty much guarantee that the hedmans are going to go over the trans crossmember. I don't know any company that makes a set that go under the trans crossmember.
