i agree with that 5.3 2wd chevy!! my buddy had a std cab 5.3l 295hp with a locker in the back and i thought i was in a lightning, was a sharp truck untill he jumped it off a 50ft cliff and wrecked it......now he drives a 70 ford.....

I think it is a great idea. A pickup always needs storage. But now for another ford blunder, they are only making it in white... Unreal.

did anyone actually read the article before jumping to conclusions? it was original ordered/requested by scotts, the lawn company, they needed to keep there granual and liquid fertalizer stuff completely separate according to a new federal regulation so ford took either a regular cab long bed or a extended cab long bed and put a 5.5 foot bed on it and put that box on it. and thats they way it can be ordered, regular or extended cab.

Personally it's a pretty cool idea. would i buy it? not at all, I'dea rather put in a tool box when i need the storage and remove it when i need the 8 foot bed, but i still think it's a good idea for those who need it.

I agree 100%. It's not something I would want or need, but I can see it being usefull in certain situations. It looks like it may be good on a dualy for the fifth wheel camper guys, it would give them dry storage space that they can easily access without dropping the trailer.
