I have not any work real well. I did have some luck adding 2 qts of atf to the oil right before an oil change. I ran it for a little while to get it to heat up. The detergents in the ATF are stronger than oil. My bad lifter souded a little better. I watched my oil pressure gaudge real close. But in the end I had to pull the engine apart. Good luck. Jesse

you could try to adjust them as apposed to just sticking different oils in to quite it down..

For what it is worth, I have used Lucas Oil Treatment in a '98 Dodge Ram 5.9 (Yes, I know I said "DODGE, but it does have a LOT of miles.) since the lifters started ticking at about 145,000. It now has 306,000 and finally starting to tick again. Probably going to be due for a rebuild at this point. I can speak for that treatment and that truck, but that is all.

I dont think it has adjustable rocker arms and lifters. maybe check to see if one of the rocker bolts came loose.

I used Risoline once on a 302, and it went away and never returned.

I've used Lucas myself. It may help keep the oil pressure up a bit.
