219.6 " of Snow

Well if anyone wants to go snowmaching we have gotten 219.6 inches of snow in the past 2 months. We are 2nd behind our record year of 550" in 1989/1990 were we had 281 inches of snow at this time.. Great guess I will have to spend more time with my shovel, 4 wheeler and blower.

If I remember correctly Valdez is place, if you park your vehicle outside, for a week, you may will find it is has been crushed by the snow.

Been 5 evenings in a row that I have had to blow snow and this is getting old. Thankfully the snow blower is back together and running again. Lost the main auger bearing a weekend ago. This resulted in a broken belt and sheared three 10mm bolts supporting the bearing support when it went. Honda may make a great little gas engine, but the snow blower end could be a little more rugged.

Something tells me it is time for larger snow blower. Need to keep a spot open for the F350. I can imagine what you have for snow tunnel with 220" of snow on each side.

Ok so now the total is 249.2. Got 30" in the past two days. Road is closed due to another avalanche.

Started to shovel my garage last night. Fun standing on the roof and reaching up to dig the snow with the shovel. Maybe we can try to bet our record year of 89-90. I have a snowblower and 4-wheeler with a plow.

How about some pictures in your gallery Mike. I need some to send to a friend in Denver. She got a bunch of friends who are crying about the snow they have been getting. Cris just wants some pictures to show them that "they" haven't been getting snow. LOL

If I get time I will try to get some. Town photos are more impressive. Most single story home were thier roofs have shed are basically hidden. All you see are these tunnels into and out. My yard is only up to the top of the fence right now. Usless for keeping the dog in....
