Whatever he did, I remember him coming here to ask for confirmation on what he was doing, so...

But bent pushrods, the only time I ever had that happen was my friend just got his hands on a '65 t-bird and while I was under the hood trying to get the motor to spin free, he tapped the starter - stupid kid (he was 2 years younger than me, when I was 23) he couldn't keep from trying it.

Valves were just a little stuck...

From now on, I disconnect the battery just in case some "helpful" individual decides to try something...

LMAO!! Jim.. just saw this while editing my profile as suggested by 1975 Ford to adverstise the East vs West FE Høe Down Thanks Ford..

Yeah man I checked them on the engine stand and they where q'nbl but funds were low and time was short. No chance in having the heads done up right, valves grinded to alike height, hard seats, etc.. figured I'd hold off till funds were in hand..as long as she could move if we needed to that was the goal.. alas it was just a bomb scare. LOL
Landlords that are in their 30's bad idea LMAO!!! things were not that far out but they aren't right.. and I never did it at opperating temp.. she has a mild tick in the valve train but nothing too major. The Dodge is paid up in Aug so we'll see about giving the old girl a fresh boob job soon you know gettem all perky like again

buckrogers is starting off with a positive reputation.
when I first bought my truck the lifters were making all kinds of noise, I removed the valve covers to see what was going on and found that one of the bolts was in the wrong hole,(the oil hole), I put the bolts back where they went and I still have a little noise on the passenger side. This article has got me to wondering if someone hasn't mixed up the push rods in the past. All the bolts were in the correct location and I'm getting oil to that rocker assembly,I do have an exhaust manifold leak on that side which will be fixed next week, after that I think I'll double check my rocker assemblies.
