John,

I'm jealous, but you got a sweet ride. When are you getting the 6 inch lift with 37 inch BFG's.

I think they put the engine name below F-350.

The raised grille emphasizes the sculpted sides of the powerdome hood and carries the theme to the air vents mounted on the fender just behind the crisply defined wheel arch. The vents dissipate engine compartment heat and designate the type of powertrain beneath the hood – red for diesel, black for gasoline.

FTE staff note, we have this overview on our site, link replaced

killer truck by the way. my '06 is dk stone, and I love it. '08s are hot wish I wasn't upside down at the moment.

The side vents will indicate gas or diesel by color. Black is gas, red is diesel. One quick look and you can see the engine type. I hear the diesel is so quiet that you can't necessarily tell it's diesel unless you pay attention.

Only problem with that is the '08 SD does come with 2 different gas engines...

I would still prefer to see the V10 Badge...somewhere on the new SD's. Humm...

Sockeye Salm -- That is one "SMART" looking SD! Very nice...
