What do you think of this deal?

I am looking at an 07 f250 s/c psd l/b that has a total msrp of $42,280.00 the dealer said I could buy it for $34,998 plus tax/ tags. What do you think DEAL or NO DEAL? If I was able to get a x plan pin what should I look to pay? Do you think I can still bargain with the dealer? I have 5 other dealers looking for the same vehicle and availability in the northeast PA area is getting very limited. Most of the dealers have told me they can't find me what I am looking for. Any suggestions. Thanks for all the help, this site is great.

I ordered a 2007 with an MSRP close the the one you stated, using x-plan and getting the rebates available in December my deal was similar to yours, maybe about $1000 to $1500 less (don't have the papers with me now).

Basically, x-plan equals invoice (technically 99.6% of invoice plus $75), with only the FDAF fee and in California, a small doc. fee. I received $4250 off the x-plan price, due to rebates.

If the dealer will show you the honest invoice printout, and show you the honest rebates you get now, off that price, you can tell reasonably well what x-plan will get you.

You might get some more off the price. You'll have to judge for yourself how much you want that particular truck, given they don't make them anymore, and so on. I'm not the guy to give negotiation advice - that's why I wimped out and used the x-plan, 'cause I hate that game at car dealers.

Tell him you only have $32,280. I think they are trying to move the 07's

That price is about right, been shopping myself and is that including the $3k rebate on it, also you can get 1.9% fin. on it for 60 months and there should be a $1500 loyaity cash as well if you qualify for it. Also you can get an additional $1k for using FMC fin. they don't always tell you that one.

I think the price seems about right, the dealer should be able to take off 4-5K from msrp without a problem. Then you add in your rebate, which is what 3k on the '07's now? So you are talking 7-8K under with your rebate. When I bought my '06 last may it listed for 49,500 and I got it for 39,500 with 5K in incentives from Ford and another 5K off from the dealer.
