ya that doesnt look good for a consumer to buy a product from a company that is battling its sub-contractors daily in court...kinda leaves you to guess who is gonna get the S*** end of the stick if u know what i mean....

Yea I can't wait to mod my wife's '05 4Runner. Take off the front bumper and put an ARB setup with a Warn 9500 winch. Raise it about 3-5" with a bigger tire.
Also swap the rear bumper for one with a better departure angle. Oh and swap the stupid running boards with sliders.

It has a 4.7L V8 gasser in it though.

I think it will be resolved, theres alot at stake for both. Either navistar will stop their crying or ford will give them what they want because ford needs their superduty's, to sell. On the other hand i cant imagine this isn't putting a massive hit on navistar either, ford has tons of other markets, id imagine they could survive something like this for a while, given there current state it wouldn't be a good time for them Id imagine.

Yeah, it'll be interesting,to say the least.

Navistar is still pissed because of the $200 million they lost developing a V6 diesel for Ford in '02, and Ford canceled out on them.

Ford is still pissed because they figure Navistar should pay for part of the $200 million in warranty claims on the 6.0

Lets see who flinches first

I'd tend to think Ford has more to lose in this battle. They can't afford to have the New Super Duty fail. Especially at this time in their corporate life.

The auto industry isn't like the plane industry.

You can't just sue your suppliers and get away with it, like Boeing does.

Ford is NOT the only game in town.

ford should hook up with CAT. now that would be one bad *** motor. make it a straight 6 and they will be good to go. then navistar will be jelous and wana try to work something out cause they will see how well ford is doing. thats what me and a bunch of my buddies think should happen. have ford forget about navistar and work something with catapillar.

Well, I just recieved an engine from International on Friday that I ordered before Christmas. I agree it is not the best way to keep the customer happy.
