Question Heads & Cam Advice for 87F250...

I'm replacing the longblock in my 87 F250 with a 91 mustang gt HO 302. I'd like to know what heads and cam would be a good choice to swap over to this motor.

I want this thing to have more pulling power and a smooth idle. I'll be reusing the stock intake as well. I probably will get a set of headers for it and high flow catalytic converter.

It doesn't need to make a zillion HP and rev to 10K. I think the usable RPM band is from Idle to 4K. I doubt the stock long runner intake does anything pask 4k for hp/tq anyway.

Compression is a concern. I don't want a head with too small of CC that would up compression to the pinging point on pump gas. I also don't want a head/cam setup that would require custom pistons, or notching.

Thanks for the input!
John
