That's what I'm seeing in my truck after some hunting last night. Thanks though! My guess is that it's the 10A fuse in position 24 "blend door actuator, trailer tow battery charge relay coil?" It's not labeled what I want it to be but from the diagrams I dug up it seems to be the right one.
Diagnostics today, was getting too dark last night.
A leaky connection is compounding my troubleshooting though and will need to be looked at.

Thanks for the diagram Pop. Yep, that was thrown by the video, they mentioned 3 thou but after this post I went back and looked at specs, and they meant to say 20-30 thou.

Dammit.

Got it working. First tested the clutch engagement with the power probe and that was fine.

The problem was, that I forgot to go back to basics when troubleshooting. I had relied on my fancy "LED lights up when blown" fuses. Apparently they only work if they're in the proper orientation to the powered side of the fuse socket. No light, I assumed the fuse was ok. Nope. New 10A fuse fixed it.

Troubleshoot. Don't rely on gadgets. Don't assume. Go back to basics.

Even I fixed it..

.. and I'm just a girl! I followed pop's instructions, reduced my air gap to about .22 and voila, I have constant cold air!
Thanks to message boards like this one, that break things down about as simply as possible, I've been able to fix quite a few things myself.
Thanks fellas!

I spent some time troubleshooting the no a/c clutch issue this wkend. Seems I do have power at the compressor connection. Air gap is less than spec, even tried deflecting the metal plate to close the gap. Still no engagement. I did notice that in just a few minutes the clutch coil was extremely hot, almost to the point where you could not touch it. I think it must have gone bad and that's probably why the previous owner unplugged the coil connection.

I see that you can get an entire clutch, pulley & coil kit on Rock for about $60. Has anybody tackled this job? How tough is it? I have the V10 so the compressor is down low on the engine.

I've done one on a V-10. It's not bad.

Drain the coolant and take the degas bottle off first.

That will give you plenty of room to work.

The job is pretty simple then.

It's a long story, but it involves a step-son that registered my domain name for me back in 2002, never letting me have any of the passwords (other than for FTP'ing), a falling out with his mom, and the hosting company not accepting payment from anyone other than the registered owner. That's the short story.

The longer story is that I have registered the .COM of the same name, and am taking my time rebuilding the site at a different hosting company. The .NET will re-appear as a .COM, but not just yet.

Do you have one of the AC blowers in the back by the cargo area? If so it should be back there.

I'm just guessing on where it might be. Did you try posting in the Expedition/Navigator forum.

AC not blowing cold

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2002 EX V10 and its already 100 in AZ. My ac is not blowing cold. I checked the ac clutch gap and within limits (as a note my clutch does not seem to engage unless running). I have connected gauges and am showing low side psi of about 50 and high side at 250 while idling and ambient temp of 101, also clutch did not cycle while testing. Any assistance regarding this would be greatly appreciated, already hot here.

Thanks in Advance

Drove and rechecked at 8:00 pm (sun down) and now showing low side 40 and high side 225 at 98 F
