The dang thing started!!

Ok have been having same problem for a year. 2003 F250 7.3 runs great then driving doesnt matter speed just shuts down.
first few times started after about 15mins
changed CPS and all good for a couple of weeks then poof shuts down again
Ok new ford CPS and pigtail great runs for a month then again but wouldnt start towed home, so checked ICP and oil leaking so new icp and pigtail
runs for another month or so and last week shut off again woud'nt start so towed home. , didnt have time to check out
so got forscan and vlink hooked it up today and shows following codes Of course it started right up today
IC B1352
PCM 0470
OTC B1342
Then did live test

Please help with these test numbers and any other test that I should run to cure Stalling
Russell

Could you tell us, how it shuts down. Like a fast key shut off or a slower bogging down until it dies? Many times with a CPS issue, it will be a fast shut off, but will most of the time fire back up at that time with no 'waiting' for 15 minutes.

Shuts down like you turned key off no warning its happened at 70mph or sitting at red light
Wa actually hoping it wouldn't start so maybe forscan would tell me what was happening

If moisture gets into the CPS sensor, it will cause a truck shut down as if turning the key off. But..... the truck started up immediately after it shut down/off. Driving through any rain or water puddles? Take CPS out and clean all area and use dielectric grease to seal it. Recheck all wires in area for chafing or bad connections.

Thanks for the info, Im in texas no rain for 6 months. Back in april when it died I put new ford CPS in and changed Pigtail see photos, also rebuilt passanger positive termial.
It ran perfect for about a month then shut down again. I found oil in socket of IPC so put new in and new pigtail.
Ran perfect again until last wednesday shut off doing about 40 tried to start for about an hour before son towed it home .
I ordered vlink and downloaded forscan and didnt touch it untill today . connected to it and got the codes in first post then went live hoping it wouldn't start but as fate has it, it started right up
hopefully someone has an idea as to what i can check
Hopefully I am making sense
Russell

Sometimes a shutdown with restart after a cooling period can be caused by an IPR Coil going bad. Can attempt to confirm by cooling the coil with ice or carb cleaner if it happens again. Would also check the IPR pigtail for condition.

Thanks, Is there a way to test IPR other than waiting for truck to shut down again?

Nice work on that battery terminal, looks solid.

Remove tin nut from IPR, remove coil and check resistance. Good is about 10.5 ohms. Unfortunately the coil is not sold separately, gotta buy the whole IPR.

I see 23.5 ohms, which is higher than "good".

Wanna try an experiment? Measure the ohms with the winding in a cup of hot water. Might be difficult to have one part in water and keep the contacts dry tho. The idea is to warm up the unit to see if the resistance changes. That would be confirmation before buying a whole new IPR.
