For those who were wondering about fuel in Canada the only fuel available is ULSD. All of our refineries made the change last year on about May 1st. LSD .05% is not available anywhere up here. We use a different sticker on the pumps as well. Fuel is marked LSD .0015% max. They don't call it ULSD at the pumps. I believe the service stations had to meet the new standard by Sept. 07 except for a couple areas in the extreame north which were given a little longer to get the levels down at the pumps.

That really sucks! Man I am glad I am not in your shoes, I would be so pissed I would be down at that dealer every day after work, until I got my truck back!! That's a lot of money to spend for Ford to let a truck go out to a dealer for sale and have problems like that!! I still get pissed when I have to take in my 2004 since it's had a tranny, turbo and main seal replaced in 20,000 miles!! Well the fact that Ford is hurting doesn't surprise me, I have talked to several people that have traded their Fords for Chevy or Dodge diesels and they have been totally pleased and had far fewer problems. Me I will stick with my Excursion because Dodge and Chevy don't make an SUV with a diesel. If that changes though I may unload the Ex. What really sucks is that when my 6.0 is running good it's awesome!! IF Ford could get their newer diesels to have a dependable reputaion then they would have the best truck no qeustions asked. I hear a lot of people say I wish I could have a Ford truck with a Cummins engine in it. That kind of talk needs to stop and Ford needs to take notice and do their homework and get their crap together! Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope the 6.4 is more dependalble than the 6.0!! Good luck man, as you can see I just get more an more pissed the more I think about these issues!!!!!!!

Jeez were talking about the GM 6.2, you have sunk to an all time low! When you start thinking about an old 6.2 over the new 6.4 that's when Ford is truly in trouble! Yeah those old 6.2's were weak in power, I had an old 1983 Sub with one in it. It ran until the crankshaft broke at 253,000 miles! You know, now that reminded me, my 6.2 had fewer problems than my current 2004 Excursion 6.0???????????????????????? Ohhhh so sad!
Thanks for that 6.2 comment, now I am feeling real bad about my 6.0!!

fishingtrucker,
FWIW I feel your pain... 4 years ago I had a new 6.0 truck that sat at the dealer (for only 8 days) while they scratched their heads and didn't have a clue to what was wrong. They had already replaced the turbo and several other components without any positive results. Luckily for me, someone from Ford engineering had the bright idea that my problems were all computer related- And they were. The truck turned out to be a great rig with hardly an issue for the next 80,000 miles when I traded it for an 06 Tow Boss.
In your case (since Ford & the dealer appear to be baffled) you may want to give them a few more days or cut bait: Have them find you an 07 dually and pocket the $10-15k price difference. Keep in mind, most remaining 07's are discounted $10k. Good luck
