To Whom It May Concern:

I at one time own a 1989 ranger. The only problem is the clutch was REALLY heavy; you had to keep your foot almost through the floor. Is this a common problem? Well, the reason for this post is I am thinking of purchasing a Ford Ranger. Before I do so I have several questions and comments I would please like some feed back on. I am sorry if there are several questions and if this list is long. I am thinking of buying one new. First question is how is it after rebates (off MSRP) Ford list on there website the ranger around 11,000. I see dealers advertise them around 9,000. Is this possible? Also, is the XL/Base the only mode were the pueblo gold is offered and if so why? One reason I am interested in the Ranger is the ranger is the only COMPACT (not midsize) truck sold in <st1:country-region><st1>lace>USA</st1>lace></st1:country-region>. Also the Ranger is the only Compact or Midsize truck with a long bed option. I know you can only get the long bed on the XLT and XL and only in regular cab. Does the extended cab have jumper sets as options or standard equipment? I know they are the same but I really want a Mazda b2300 but good luck finding one. Is there any thing else you think I should PLEASE know? Also the Ranger is older design and rumors of it going bye bye are they true. Ford admits that its old but the full size pickups give more profit. If there is a better place to post this PLEASE let me know. I know this seems like rambling and I am sorry. I like the Tribute/Escape (tribute cost little more but give you more standard) The Ranger style. Anyone knows how or was to find a Mazda b2300? I will not be getting the truck until fall. (Going into training for Army National Guard) Thank you and have a nice day.

I would write a letter to Ford just like you did hear and ask them. Fell free to post this in other sections of the site as you may get a better response from some Ranger owners. Sorry I couldn't help you more and I'm sorry to hear about the trouble your haveing.
