POWER to the V6

I got a 4.2 gas 2007 for f150.
model: STX

and ive been looking for a cold air intake for my truck. TO give it that extra power and milage. But i cant find any on the internet. does any body have any websites that they have ordered from themselves. If so do you have your opinion.

this next part is off the topic but I was wonderin how you put your own words and or pics under this line ( just so i dont have to keep on saying what kind of truck i have). Im sorta of a nub .

So far as I know, there is no complete kit available for 2005 and newer 4.2 motors.

regarding your off topic question: Click on "User CP" (User Control Panel) on the top banner.
Once there you can "Edit Signature".

Nice to have you here at FTE!

Spectre make various compents that you can put together to make your own intake setup. Pep Boys carry them and I assume other auto parts stores do also

Not sure what the difference is.

At $220, I can't say that I think either would be worth it.
I bought just the filter at Advance Auto for about $40 (about 90,000 miles back) and everything is working just fine.

That is the exact unit I had on my 2000.
According to the MAC website, it is not shown as compatible with 2004 and newer 4.2 applications.
When I got my 2005, I remember looking and decided the kit form the 2000 would not work. I still had the 2000 and could have swapped it over, but did not.

I think the eBay auction might be in error.

While I can certainly see the temptation to buy, I'd be very careful.
Maybe contact the seller and ask for a written guarantee that the kit is a direct fit replacement for your application. Might even mention that the MAC website shows the kit being auctioned, but does not list it as valid for '04 and newer.

Caveat emptor !

edit: Now I see he does mention two different part numbers and request model year when ordering. So, maybe it WILL work, But I still wonder why MAC does not show it on their web site.
