Cordoba IFS in '48-'52

If any of you folks have a Cordoba-based front suspension installed in your '48- '52 F-whatever, I'd appreciate the following info:

Modified Chrysler subframe or kit install?
Front wheel/tire combination used?
F-1 or other fenders?
Overall opinion of ride/handling?

I have the factory Cordoba subframe modified to fit my F-1 frame. ...but not welded in yet. With 15 x 6 wheels of unknown origin, it appears I won't have much wriggle room for future wheel/tire choices.

Deciding whether to persue other avenues or stay with what I have.

Thanks,
Keith

Nobody, huh?

Looks like I might be breaking some new ground. (That always worries me.)

Gallery now has a couple of shots of Reg as he sits now. ...and the past 10+ years.

What year Cordoba are we talking about? There are two distinctly different model ranges. The older Cordoba generally uses a kit from Gibbons. The newer Cordoba is a just a Volare K-frame install/graft.

They both work well for an F1, although the narrower F1 frame offers some challenges due to steering box clearance (or lack thereof).

I have the Volare based T-bar in my 48 F-3 but I'm using F-1 fenders and 7 inch wheels. I had 225-75s on the front initially but they rubbed the fender wells when I turned the wheels so I put 215-70s on the front temporarily. I think when I get the truck aligned it will be raised up some and I hope to be able to put the 225s back on. If not, I might have to go to six inch wheels to put them back on. The 48-52 is about 4 inches narrower in front than the 53-56.

I have a '78 Cordoba front end in my '54. Pics in my gallery if it helps.
I used no after market kits, I fabed my own rear cross member using the origal socket for the bars.
