exhaust question

1993 5.8 with bassani headers and complete exhaust.....i was wondering if taking the exhaust off from right before the muffler is ok for the truck. A buddy was telling me it wouldnt have enough back pressure or something...to make a clearer picture all that would be on the exhaust would be the headers and about 2 feet of straight out 3 inch tubing. thanks

because i want it to sound loud and the exhaust system is falling off and rather then fix it i was just going to cut it off......and when all i am doing is driving it on my farm i wont get a ticket....so all else aside is it ok to do this for the engine?

Sounds a little short but should be fun. worst case senario is you burn a couple exhaust valves.

Rip it off. Wont hurt a thing.
Just be careful running it through high grass. Might start a fire!
