Whatever the official marketing name ends up being, the engine has not been dropped.

I'd like to know where everybody gets their information from?
I work for Ford and don't hear half of what everybody is saying.
The other half I hear I can't tell you

I wish Ford would scrap the idea that they need this huge, heavy, fully boxed frame on the LD F-150/250. All it does is add to weight and fuel consumption. If you needed something with that strong of a frame, get a Super duty. I dont see myself ever buying a newer style F150, just too big and heavy looking.

Um, product development and up until 6 weeks ago in the truck department doing development work.
Is that close enough to F-150's for you?

I was not aware they might have done away with them, I know they did in some of the previous model years. Matters not.

You are 100% right!!!!! There is no need for a FBF on a 1/2 ton truck!! And like you said if you need to haul that kind of weight get a 250/350

Last year for the LD F250 was 1999. The F150 7700 package took its place. Same truck, different badges. I think Ford changed the name to avoid confusion between the LD F250 and SD F250. You can still get basically the same thing with the heavy payload package SC 8' bed F150 now (8200 GVW).

you guys are nuts...the trucks are great just the way they are....why would you want to go back to a c-frame when we have a nice boxed frame that i strong and going to hold up very well over time...

stop the beotchin about it....you guys complain about stuff when it's broke and then you complain about stuff when it's good.....

i don't get it...

I heard on some auto news show that Ford was hurrying to develop this new diesel engine and that it will be available for the 2008 model year F150 i dunno we'll have to wait and see.

Anyone know what the ratings the 6.2l is supposed ot get?
