I don't believe this product has been released yet. It was supposed to be released a couple days ago with the oiled cotton filter. However, it's my understanding that most of their customers wanted the new Never Oil filter which wasn't yet available, so they delayed the release of this product for another ~10 days so they could ship their system with their new Never Oil filters.

 

I'm just wondering what everybody thinks of cold air intakes...

 

CAI are very nice for a little thunder (noise) under the hood and help later when you add exhaust and tuner to the package. they are LOUD though when you stomp it.

when @75 mph and the truck downshifts, I can't hear anything my wife says until the truck shifts back up

I still recommend one though. they're a nice relatively cheap addition and do help a little for performance. My personal vote is for the Volant CAI though.

 

They're mostly fun toys that benefit your psyche more than the truck, but, hey, that's one of the fun parts of owning any vehicle.

 

Well the stock intake assembly is a cold air intake, so.......

 

yeah, my wife said I was like a little boy when I started up after the CAI install. Grin from ear to ear.

I have to wonder about there hp gain ,that truck sure didn't sound stock wonder what other mods it had to it that could have helped the horsepower
