I changed the EGR valve on my 98 Expedition 5.4L only to discover that the EGR pressure sensor was faulty. The new sensor went out in a month or so. It was a cheap $70 part from O'Reillys. I replaced it with a Ford OEM part. Is there something that might cause the sensor to fail or was it likely just a cheap made in China part?
Thanks.
Exhaust gasses are tough on cheap parts, which is why they cost so much. If your part was a no name or house brand, I would expect that to be the problem. The motorcraft should do you well.
