20th annual "Ozarks Run" Branson, MO July 13th-15th

Hi guys,

The Show-Me F-100s are sponsoring their 20th show this summer. The 20th annual Ozarks Run is in Branson, Mo July 13th-15th. There is all sorts of activities for the whole family. Music on Friday night, Truck show on Saturday, and "Coffee and Doughnuts" on Sunday morning.

Ozarks Run information page:
http://showmef100.bravepages.com/ozarksrun.html

Ozarks Run Flyer:
http://showmef100.bravepages.com/forms/07flyer2.pdf

Ozarks Run Schedule:
http://showmef100.bravepages.com/forms/07schedule.pdf

I was not able to attend last year (serious health issues), but there were about 80 trucks. They are hoping for more this year. I am hoping to drive mine up there if I can change dialysis days and not be on on Saturday.

I hope some of the FTE members who are in that area are able to attend.

I went to the show last year, it was my first time and it was great. The show is in the motel parking lot, I parked my truck and didn't move it all weekend. There are shuttle buses to the shows and shopping. Lots of stuff within walking distance. The thing is, everything there is what we love, nothing else. If you go to a huge 'Goodguys' event you probably won't see that many old Ford trucks... Brian, If you see Ol'Blue, stop and say HI.

I sure will! I hope to meet any of the members who attend. I will talk to the dialysis unit this week and try to get my schedule changed that weekend.

I'm going to have to work extra on my 60. Maybe it'll be ready for the 4 hour drive to Branson by then.
Sounds like a great gathering.
Hotel rates are pretty good too.

Hey Brian,

Do they (truck shows) frown on Project Trucks.
Mine is pretty rough right now, but drivable.
I know I will not have it all prettied up by summer, but I would enjoy coming down and at least visiting if not participating.

No...mine is 4 colors of primer and 3 colors of red. Last year one of the officers, couldn't find his hood bolts. No hood and he drove it to the show. You should know that those of us who are members can't win trophies though. We will just be there for fun.

Look at the ozarks run information page I linked to above. As far as I know...79 has a trophy too (although it does not say F-150 specifically). You might give them a call to confirm. Either way, attend the show even if your truck is not in it. That is my plan.

There is a lot of fun trophys as well. The main reason for all of this is family fun.

The phone numbers for the club officers are on this page:

http://showmef100s.org/

Scroll down about half way.

I have been to the Branson truck show many times but never taken my trucks. My 66 is not a show truck but a very nice driver. There are only 2 trophies for the newer trucks like mine. As mentioned, once you park your truck, it can stay parked all weekend if you choose. We always brought the family and it would be a pain to do so in a pickup. My son has driven his 63 to the show and won the Youngest Trucker award when he was 16 and 17. The show has a nice location, most of the club members are very freindly, and you can't beat the motel rates. In our case, we had to figure out ways to entertain ourselves and usually found something to do in the vast tourist attraction town.

Just bumping this up again. I managed to get the last room on the ground floor. The rooms are $47.95 a night and filling up fast from what I have been told.

I just received the latest newsletter. There are 40 trucks pre-registered already. That is way ahead of this time last year. They are expecting it to be a big show, since it is the 20th one. They have trucks pre-registered from as far away as California and Utah.

We are planning to be there. If I could only go to one show the whole year, it would be this one.

Awesome! I did not see any pics of your 55 in your gallery. You will have to look for my 56 parked with the club trucks (Show me F-100s) to find me. It won't be "in the show".
