My 97 F-150 just looks so plain.....
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 23-Dec-02 AT 00:14 AM (EST)]I have an XL 97 F-150 that is white and so very plain. I have seen how the XLTs and other high end F-150s have a molded looking thing that runs along the side of the truck. I was also thinking about maybe just a simple black stripe. I was wondering how much a molded thing would cost to have put on or if it would just be better to go the cheaper route and put a stripe on it. I was also wondering about how much a new paint job would cost.

I don't know how they are affixed, but I'm sure that your Ford dealer will sell you the moulding.
Beware. Once you get the modding bug, there is no cure. Moulding...paint...wheels...interior...loom and paint...intake...exhaust...ad infinitum.
Welcome.

I would have pin striping put on. That will break the lines up some. I would put a very tame one on the top of the fender / door / bed line. Ours has that and it breaks up the body very nicely. I am not srue if the pic in the gallery shows it. Any good body shop can put a decent looking pinstripe (have it glued, not painted).
