Cool 97 PSD will not start after installing superchip

I just installed the superchip and now the truck will not start. I tried disconnecting the battery terminals for 30 mins that didn't work. Check the fuses they are good. The wait the start light doesnt come on at all. Tried to hook back up the superchip to turn it back to stock and that didnt work either. Running out of ideas.

Are you getting a error message from the tuner?? Might have to call superchips and talk to them.

Bloodline call superchip. I had a similar problem last fall. Scared the you know what out of me cuz I put the program back in, out on a job site and got an error message. They were very helpful. I had to deprogram truck and send programmer back due to error in programming on superchips part. They took care of me very quickly.....It sucks to have to drive in stock program when you're use to hi po.

well i check the #22 fuse and it was blown got another fuse and it blew. Whenever the key is in the on position the wait to start light comes on then goes out because the fuse keeps blowning

Your fuel heater is probably (hopefully) shorting out against the side of the filter canister. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think its the middle connector on the drivers side of the fuel canister. Unplug it and replace the fuse and see if it blows.

Yes, 2nd plug from top, driver side of fuel bowl. Red wire with green tracer, small spade plug. Unplug and replace 30amp fuse (#22) and see what she says.

Your heater inside your fliter canister shorted out. Its a common problem with these trucks.

You can leave it unplugged. Mines been disconnected for a few years.

Here's more info on fuse #22.
