If the 08 trucks are released now, when does FordMoCo change over to making the next model year trucks? Is it always late summer, early fall?

Late summer to fall of '08 is when the '09 will come out, just like usual (well, except for this year ). The '08 model year will be an extended run due to the early release of the '08 model.

 

The thing that suggs is there will be no financing or other incentives on these things for AT LEAST 1-1/2 years. I guess that's why they don't call them '07's...

 

So does the extended run mean that they won't start on 09 trucks until fall of 2008?

 

something like that..... They did the same thing when they released the 1997 F150. which I purchased very early in 1996.........

 

This mid year ahead of a year thingy..is not the first time. AS mentioned this happened with the 150 in 1997 and the super duties in 1999. There will/or could be some product changes before the 09 come out in the fall of 08. But the 08's will be around for a year and one half.

 

The plus side is that down the road the Blue Book value of 2008s bought in February of 07 will likely not be any lower with similar miles and condition than an 08 bought in July of 2008.

 

So tell me . . . How are you going to have similiar miles w/ a truck bought in 2/07 vs. 7/08? Park it for a year or so? Unhook the speedo? Well . . .

 

You can't reallly be serious with this quote?
