Which auto tranny will I get behind the 5.4 in the F150?

There is only one transmission its the 4R75E.

Thanks, Do they have the bugs worked out of the 4R75E? I was hoping I could get the Torqueshift five speed like I have in my E450. That is one sweet tranny.

nope...the only way you can get the 5 speed tranny is if you go up to the superdutys, they put the 5 speed behind the 5.4, or so ive heard

There are no bugs in the 4R75E that I know of. Have not even seen 1 TSB for it. This trans was specifically made to handle the higher torque loads of the 5.4. From what I hear a 6 speed is due out in 2008.
