It's time for us to have a Home!

Well at the first annual FTE Texas Chapter meet, we had a helluva turn out and we talked about some ideas.. Firstly being, this Chapter truly needs it's own website.. Myself and John Tucker have discussed linking together and putting it together... Considering that i'm a Network Engineer, I have the resources in place that we can finally get our own home.. Through sponsorship with my local company this is possible. I will house the domain on a local server here with myself and John Tucker putting together the website. Mainly as a Colo for our Annual meets and news.

Here is my consideration for our domain name;

www.texasfte.com

I believe that the developers of FTE would not object as we are merely a chapter of their amazing home.

I have forwarded a request to the site admins in regard to us using the fte tag for our domain. I will keep you updated as progress rolls along.

At least the Tahoe is facing the opposite way...

...Man I woulda been the smallest truck there for sure...

I do know some issues came up with another chapter trying to get it's own website... but as long as we go to the mods/admins before doing it, I don't see them having a problem with it unless we made a forum on the new site.

Exactly.. I sent a request in and I'm awaiting to be heard.. There will be no forums, no selling, no sponsorship except for FTE's logo's. I'm not about to entangle into a legal debate. I've dealt with it enough in my field when it comes to developing (Sigh)..

Hopefully sometime this week i'll get an answer on it from the FTE Site owners.

Just keep us informed...I for one will be following this...there's a certain relationship with the people around you that you can't share with those on the other side of the country.

We'll always know Texas trucking is it's own breed.

Any idea what's up with the site - seems a little "stuck". It double-posted one of my entries and shows a post by Jason but I can''t see it for some reason.

John, I'm impressed with your Photoshop prowess - I'm still a novice lucky to know how to crop a pic!

Good work! I like it!

Laying under the rear of my truck trying to figure out the 7pin wiring so I could hook up my new WhiteNight backup lights !

I barely had time to finish up and then run up to Giddings to meet CorpStorm to relieve him of his old Pace Edwards.

Let's do it again soon!
