Any downfalls to EBVP delete pedistal & cover plate?
I am going to do the EBVP delete pedistal and cover plate because my turbo is leaking oil badly. Is there a downside to the EBVP deletes. I will also replace wheel while the turbo is out to get rid of that pesky surge.

On cold morings it may take a tad longer to warm up and you wont get to hear the jet sound but other than that nothing to worry about.

That is why i got rid of mine for those two reasons, i had a hellish leak and it was all over the downpipe and the passenger up pipe, and the entire right side of the valley, transmission and even back to the TRANSFER CASE skidplate... I went with a van turbo because PMS had set in at that time, and i did the ATS housing later on. I dont miss the EBPV.

For one, the pedestal will never leak there. it is a nice unrestrictive cover plate, that flows much better. Can even drop EGT's 50-150* depending on the situation. I'm sure CSIPSD will come along and campaign on why you need to keep it, but look at this..

Strokin, if I go with the EBVP pedistal and cover plate to stop the leak, will they fit a van yurbo when I can afford one in the future.

No, the turbine outlets are different. In this picture- you can see the van turbo EBPV delete pedestal--
And this is a stock one, it has a wastegate and passage so it will not work.

The pedistal is the same though correct? What if I do the EBVP delete pedistal now and not the EBVP delete cover. I am assuming that this will stop my leak and then allow me to upgrade the turbo later. Where did you get your van turbo?

Believe it or not, there is a difference between the "e-series van turbo" and the 1.15A/R F-series turbo. The turbine housings flow the same, however the turbine wheel in the E series turbo is slightly larger, and a truck turbo housing will not fit. However a Van turbo housing will fit sloppily on a F-series centersection. To get what i did, i bought a Non-EBPV pedestal (i got mine from DieselSite for $250, and they have them on ebay now for $100). I bought the 1.15 housing from ShopDiesel but won't recommend you buy there, their service sucks. Go to beansdieselperformance.com, i think they sell them now. I rebuilt the turbo and left the compressor side as the WW only, Then i added the ATS housing later on.
Do not run a Non EBPV pedestal with an EBPV unless you find some way to wire the valve linkage hanging off the bottom of the valve to an open position.

Strokin, I am confused, did you use a van turbo or just use the 1.15 exghaust housing on your stock turbo with a WW?

This is what Beans Diesel carry's, it looks like a sweet deal $389 with wheel and adapter. Is it what I need along with EBVP delete pedistal to go on my stock turbo?
