Seat for 1960 F100

When I bought my 1960 f100 it didn't come with the original bench seat and I was wondering if anyone knew of any place that sells them. I was also looking at another thread where someone said they used a bench seat out of a late 1980s chevy pickup, which also sounded like a good idea to me. Does anyone know of any other trucks that had bench seats that would fit? Thanks.

I'm not smart enough to give you a link, but if you do a search on seats, there is quite an extensive list of different kinds of seats that will fit our trucks.

With less than 25 posts you may not be able to do a search so here is the link to click on: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...earchid=152091

well i was thinking of useing the back bench seat out of a 2000 ford crewcab and adapting it onto my slides. the only problem with this is that the local junkyard want half of new price for everthing and i didnt want to spend 400 bucks on a seat. so now im going to reuphoster my origanal one myself.

Too bad we are on opposite coasts - I have one I am sending to the dump, and all it needs is a new cover - the seat itself with the springs and original cotton pads are still in good shape. I had it on Craig's list for $20 and did not get a single call.

I used the seat out of an 87 Ford pickup in my 59 - it is a much more comfortable seat than the original.

What did it take to install?

It was almost a bolt in replacement - I used the mounts for 87 and needed to drill a couple of new holes in the floor, but that was the only modifications it needed.

Thanks for the information and I did do some searching to get more information about options for seats. The only problem is that most of the older posts were for mid-50s trucks. I am guessing they are close enough in size that some of the options will work. But does anyone have a picture of an original seat installed in a 1960 f100 so I can at least see what it looks like and how it is attached. Thanks for the help.
