Placed an order for our f450 in Late November. Dealer called yesterday saying our truck is in come pick it up. Went to the deal and saw our fully loaded f450 black. But before I signed anything I wanted to check out the truck.
Didnt like the Front bumper being how small it was
Placements of headlights being so low
No HID headlights
Word SUPERDUTY engraved in the tailgate
Ugly stock exhaust tips that can't be modified
How close they placed the radiator so close to the small front bumper. Bad if you get into a fender bender.
The salesman was kinda shocked I pointed out these things but before I spend 56K on a truck I don't want to find so many negatives about it. So he told me to take it for a spin.
Started up the truck and it sounded like a gasser.
Drove it out of the lot and noticed how HUGE the air vents were
Pulled onto the street and floored it, and wanted to hear the turbo whistle... NONE like i said above sounded like a gasser.
Not impressed at all with the truck told the salesman to give us our deposit of 3,000$ back. in which he did and I drove home in my 05 F250. No regretes just didnt like the new truck.
Sounds like you jumped the gun in the first place, did you even look at the pictures of the truck?

What factory truck out there makes the nice turbo whistle sound with stock config? What new gen diesel doesnt sound like a gasser now days? What new ford truck doesnt have new even bigger air vents? Did you even research the '08's before you decided to order the truck? HAHA I bet that salesman was confused and disapointed he didnt make the sale.
I call BS. I mean to list "no HID headlights" as one of the reasons you rejected it is just plain stupid. And the rest of your reasons are advertised features of the new truck. If you didn't want it you shouldn't have ordered it.
HID headlights, it's a 50,000 dollar pickup not a 75,000 luxury car.
I agree with sjprice. Also I call BS on sounding like a gasser. just listen to the engine in the many videos posted. If I had a gas engine that sounded like that something is wrong with it.
If I was that salesman I wouldnt deal with you again. Do you mean you rejected the truck on those measily issues. What a joke. A 450 is meant tow an isnt that your main concern an how well it does it. Seems pretty petty issues to me. Those headlights are designed that way for a reason better nightime vision an no dark spots on the highway. Are you planing on getting any in to any fender benders soon. Who would ever thought off that excuse not too buy one. I hour an you decided you didnt lie it. 10 posts since 2004 an now you post this.
seriously looking at the international cxt right now I can get a new one for a great price. one of the reasons why I was being so picky on the f450.
Wish you would have said this in the first place.
