Hi i just bought my truck. it has 210,000 miles on it. I am a new diesel owner and last nite the check engine light came one, lost power and died.. it started again after a min and ran bad until i could get home, half mile maybe.. when cranking the fuel filter light is on.. but now im charging my batteries up and pluged it in.. so what could be the problem? there was no aditived in it but the temp was 15F

Might be water.. Couldn't hurt to take out the Fuel Filter and drain the fuel out. Don't forget to pour some fuel back in before you set the filter back. It'll run rouch and smoke a bit, but it'll pass.

Welcome race14race. How cold is it where you are? Could be ice forming in the fuel bowl or gelled fuel too.
