I have have test drove an 05 F250 SD CC 3.73 4x4 short bed and a 06 F250 Ext Cab 3.73 4x4 long bed and noticed a difference in power between the two. 5.4 and 5sp auto in both. I know they are supposed to have the same hp, but the 05 really was doggy at freeway speeds. Has anyone noticed this?

I am in the market to buy one becuase of all the positives on this site for those in a similar situation as I. Light towing, but want the room and capability. I am concerned about this. Has anyone noticed a difference between 05's and 06's and if so, is it just a programming issue of the computer?

Could be just throttle lag. A simple computer update for the drive by wire. My '05' had it took it back updated and alot better.
