Thats a good question, I have a 00' with a stock satbilizer on it and want to up grade to dual set up for 38' tires that I am running. There are so many brands out there and I will be watching this thread to help me out also. Hoefully you will get some good feed back.

If you just want a stock replacement Monroe makes one, just go to there website. I think it was around $39.99. If you want some type of performance I'm sure there are plenty of companies.

I added the skyjacker dual stabilizer kit to my truck in 03 and it works great, Back then the whole kit with cartridges was only about a hundred bucks.

I don't know if it has helped, but for 226k miles my truck has never been out of alignment. My tire shop checks for me about every third tire rotation, and they have never found it to be out of factory specs. I highly recommend the Dual stabilizer kit. it was also easy to install, you will have to sawzall a small lip off the original attach point on the knuckle but other than that it is a straight bolt up.

I asked the same question as my drw does not have one. It seemed to be mixed, some people had them others didn't. No one knew for sure if they should come stock.

not all sd have them apparently, as my truck didnt come have one either, went with a single skyjacker off steal bay.
dont know why they dont all have them, thought it was weird that all the mount points are there.

My truck didn't come with them and so I purchased the Skyjacker kit.

It really cut down on bumps kicking the tires around. Especially driving in fields and on the back roads. I wouldn't go back.

They hang no lower than the stockers that I can tell, but they are much beefier(larger piston rod, a larger diameter tube) so it will be harder to bend one unless you are playing in the rocks.

No they are not stock. Although they should be since without them bump steer is more of an issue. I ran the dinky stock one on my '01 for 30,000 miles. That was 20,000 miles too many. The standard set up for them is real low. The good part about that is it gets your attention before you hammer on the pricier things that follow.
I agree w/bdrummonds that the beefier is harder to bend, but 7000-9000lbs of truck can bend most anything with ease.

I would recommend the dual steering stabilizer if you are going to be running larger tires. I have the Skyjacker dual steering stabilizer and it is great turns alot smoother than stock. Rock Ram makes a hydraulic system but it is $$$$. As far as why some SD come with them and others dont is beyond me. If you have the mounting points, which I think all SD do have them, get the dual steering stabilizer kit you will not regret it. Hope this helps
