6.4 at local dealer today

I went down to my local dealer today they had a 6.4 there. dang is that thing quiet. i immediatle wanted to go home an fire up my 6.0 to get that feeling back. it is a sharp looking truck with nav system and the "super duty" embossed in the tailgate . but one look under the truck told me "mods not welcome"

goodness the EPA has neutered the diesel! There is a particulate filter on the exhaust system that runs almost the entire length of the truck that if removed will end your warranty. has two egr coolers . the mechanic there swore by it. while he and the service advisor traded snippets about my 6.0 and it's reliability......*******s !

while I do like the fact that they went to a common rail fuel delivery system which "SHOULD" make it more reliable . the amount of emmisions crap on that thing makes me want to puke!

Yeah I saw one today and I don't think I would buy because of the way it looks.
Whats up with the headlights ?
That is about butt ugly.
The rear step in the tail gate is nice.

I quess its like my old girl friend She had a butter face.

Everything else is nice but her face.

I saw the video/CD while waiting at my dealership yesterday. The thing just looks hot!! Was impressed by the built-in ladder in the tailgate of all things. Can't wait to hear the feedback from this forum on its true dependabilty. The sequential turbos should eliminate turbo lag, plus it seems to have a fair amount of added power. Hope I don't get too tempted to trade-up so soon.

Yep You Are Right The Head Lights Are Butt Ugly And I Am Wondering About The Step On The Tailgate?? All The Tail Gate Is Good For Is Sitting On And Drinking Beer Or Soda , I Haved Never Needed A Step On My 2006 4 Door Dualie With 19.5 Tires But For Some Folks It Helps I Guess Just Seems Like More Things To Get Full Of Dirt And Cause Problems

maybe the EPA requested it for politically correctness that women and short people could reach the beer or soda easily?

They tried but it would not pass crash tests.
