Tranny repair questions

Does anyone know of a transmision shop in W\Mass or Ct that are used to rebuild tranny's for more durability, or a good mechanic willing to install parts that I buy of the internet. All the shops i spoke to basically want to rebuild to oem specs and don't want anything to do with parts that don't come from them. This truck is my daily driver so I can't afford to have it down for long. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

Has anyone delt with Mass Diesel Performance I see on their site that they do tranny work.

I faced the same dilemna about a month ago and just ended up letting a local shop rebuild it -- cost me $2100 and they went with a billet TC, but it seems nobody wants to use your parts. They still only gave me a 1 year 12k warranty.

A week later I walked into the dealer for parts and they were advertising a remanufactured 4r100 tranny with a 3 year 75k mile warranty for $2,300.

I hate the dealer as much as anybody, but that seemed like a decent deal with that warranty -- I'm not sure if it's a national deal or not -- it was advertised on a Ford banner that looked like a promotion.

sounds like a good deal for a tranny from Ford, but I would rather invest a little more now and not have to worry again for a while.

i was able to find a really good tranny shop, and they recommeded and installed my transgo tugger, and will also install the Stallion T/C when i get it, it just takes some calling around, they dont need to warranty the parts, just the work.
luckily, the shop i found is all about perfromance and knows that OEM is CRAP.
