Drive-By-Wire
Is anyone else having the problem I have? Drive-by-wire seems to have malfunctioned. Wrench indicator light and MIL have come on. Vehicle is at the dealership ... don't know yet how much this is gonna cost me ...
Have been driving for thirty+ years, never had a throtle cable go bad. I understand the need for this new technology, I just don't trust it. Seems to me. FoMoCo oughta do something for me or anyone who has this problem. Someone's going to get killed if they don't fix this problem. My 2005 SuperCrew only has 43000 miles on it. I don't think I should be having this problem so soon!
... always wanted my own band!

I hear ya. Originally when Honda or Toyota or maybe both tried out the electronic throttle, they put in a backup throttle cable just in case. I thought that was a smart idea. That way you wouldn't be SOL if the electronic part failed. Ford isn't Honda or Toyota however. Now if the throttle fails on a ford your going to be two footing it!
