3 Snow Days in a Row!!!

Don't think I've ever had this happen. Monday they cancelled because it was going to 0 with a -20 or so windchill. Tuesday same reason except it was -4 with like -25 windchill. Today is cancelled because it snowed 4" last night and it's too cold for the salt to work. Haven't had a snow day all year until now. Crazy thing is I went to work Mon and Tues and survived just fine. Dunno why they cancelled for cold but I'll take it. BTW I live in central OH. What's your weather like? Jared

Smile Rasing wussies

Dude it's because we are raising wussies. I'm in my 40's now and walked to school through jr. high, and all of elementry school. We've had quite a few days where school were closed. We live in SW Missouri, been through a couple decent snows, and a month ago a wicked ice storm that pretty much wiped out Springfield Mo, and south to near Branson mo.
Yesterday............ I swear to you it was 52, today in the 30's. In missouri, if you don't like the weather. Wait, it'll change.

It's pretty darn cold here in southeast pa, and windy to top it off. They have been opening late or closing due to the fuel systems in the busses freezing up. We haven't had a significant snowfall here yet.

I'm just outside Chicago. The weather you had just left us and we didn't have any snow days. Just took longer to warm up the truck and longer to commute because of the people that didn't know how to drive in the conditions.

They havent closed my college in over 10 years for a snow day. Also our high school rarely gets out, if anything they will make it 2 hours late. I wish they would cancel once just for the fun of it though. I'm in MN and its been below zero this whole past week. Just makes walking to school harder is all.

I've lived in Montana pretty much my whole life... we have only ever had one day that school was cancelled due to the weather. January 1996 brought a polar Canadian front into the area and high winds from the west pulled the wind chill to -128. The next day was actually colder but schools were reopened.

Just to update you guys it's friday morning and the past 2 days have been 2 hour delays due to cold (-20 windchill). 2 or 3 schools in our county have had the whole week off. Supposed to see normal weather by Monday of 30 high and 18 low, I might just wear shorts to work that day.

Its been snowing all day here... its about 11 degrees and I saw a guy driving down the road on a 4 wheeler today. I imagine it was pretty chilly.

My brother manages a ski resort near Bozeman... I get to go skiing/snowboarding/snowmobiling for free pretty much whenever I want. Which really isn't very much... but its kind of a nice perk
