OK, I'm starting to narrow down this WVO thing LOL. I plan on using a hotfox to pull wvo, and now I'm wondering what filter would be best. I want to use coolant only, just to KISS. I'm looking at the Racor Parker Vormax, or the Fleetguard FH23000. I like the bigger filter on the Fleetguard, but I've heard the Vormax is a great filter. Advice anyone??

The Fuel Manager 100 is perfect for Dino fuel! not enough for WVO or bio, in cold climates, IMHO. The unit I have is complete w/ the 10 psi pump.
Long live the IDI's

"the best" is not the right question. They all will work in some form or fashion. Find out about each of them, the strengths and weaknesses and then try to understand your needs.
Then it should be simple to fine the one that is right for your setup or the one that meets most of your needs.
The Vormax for example, and the only one I know about first hand will be pretty ineffective in warming the oil enough to flow when it's 20F and it hanging on the frame rail in the wind.
I've insulated mine very well and even them it takes some time to get to a temp that allows the oil to flow. There is a device called the Overnighter that works to reduce this issue, but that is an option that is more money and develops other concerns.
IMHO the Vormax is very good if your temps never go below 40F or you have very very good oil. All these things factor in. Also the way you filter can make a difference. Do you cold filter or warm filter.
There is no simple "best filter" answer Only the filter that meets your needs in the way you do things in this highly experimental world of WVO
Erick- I plan on warm filtering, to make sure the thinner oil gives up the most crud I can get out of it. I understand what you're saying about the experimenting, but unfortunately, the money situation doesn't alot for a whole lot of experimenting with multi hundred dollar pieces of gear LOL. I live in SoCal, where it rarely reaches into the high 30's, in the winter it usually is around low 40's in the morning. Yesterday it got up to about 78!! I think my purchase may be based off the lower price I can get on ebay or craigslist. We'll see, thanks all!

What do you mean by beat to death?
Discredited?
Talked about at great length?
Somthing else?
The study may not be perfect as scientific studies go but it appears to be fairly solid.
Of course the true test of any study is repeatability. That is others should obtain similiar results under similiar circumstances

I think I know what you're talking about- I read something on copper corrosion and oil polymeration somewhere a couple of days ago- could've been from frybrid.
