lowering question

so i wanna drop my lightning but not the cheap way so far i did 2 inch shackles in the rear,,,i plan on doing the spindles up front so i won't have camber issues does anybody no about pulling leafs,, and will that lower me i no i won't be able to haul as much but can i get 2-3 inches out of pulling leafs will it make it handle worse? should i just get the hangers instead,, oh yeah and i have 5 leafs unlike a lot of other trucks i'm not towing boats,,,,not just one small bike

Yes you can lower it buy pulling leafs but it's not a good idea. Buy doing so you will affect the handling of the truck and you could end up with tire hop.
Best way to do it would be with the hangers.

It is always best to use an engineered kit to lower any vehicle. If you go to www.truckperformance.com you will find that for your model Lightning a drop spindle for the front by Belltech & an axle relocation kit by Steeda. This would be what I would install on my truck rather than messing with removing leaves or installing hangers & shackles.
