Well to be fair it is an option, just for an f-250... if it is that necessary then one should go with the f-250, an f-250 is not much heavier than my screw lariat.

Does anyone know the weight difference between a 2wd F150 and a 2wd F250??

Do you think that the new 6 speed auto will have a staggered shifter so you can choose your gear better? Maybe they could even have a manual hydrostatic shift like some cars and suv's do.
