4.2L on LPG?

Hi,

New guy here. I just bought a 02 f150 with a 4.2L/auto combination.

Does anyone here have any experience with converting the 4.2L to use both propane and gasoline? I'm presently creeping up on 300K mi on my 89 F250 with a 460 and think converting it to propane was one of the best moves I've ever made. That engine is still running strong after running almost exclusively on propane since the 20K mi mark and has never been opened up. I'm thinking of doing the same conversion on the new/used 4.2L and would like to hear from those who have gone down the path before me.

Thanks

Thumbs up

hi, i converted a 4,2 a year ago and it has been faultless.it runs strong and revs real free.
as i am in the UK our systems will be different mine being italian. it is not an injection type it is an induction type ( like a carb ). this means it is not as efficiant and you run the risk of backfires thru the air filter if the ignition is not 100%. saying that mine has not backfired, ever.
good luck with your installation, bokker.
