Really, this post is for fun and all and I just wanted to tell about my little race with a (looks like) brand new Audi S4.
It all started when I was coming home from my work and I was a little upset with the slow pace of traffic, needless to say I ended up at the stop lights with a sweet lookin Audi right next to me and he looked just as anxious as me. I let him know I was going to floor it by inching my way anticipated the green light and he gave me an indication he wasn't going to let me get ahead.Well the light turned green and I hammered it and to my surprise the tires sqeeled pretty good and I launched ahead by about a truck length after the first 40 ft I was pulling away probably because he sucked at shifting and I was feeling pretty good about myself when...zoooom....he was gone like the wind.
I'll keep you posted on any other beatings I recieve!
You realize, dont you, that the guy in the Audi could have been ahead of you the entire time and really handed you your *butt* if he wanted to? Seriously, you didn't really think you had a chance do you?
It was the classic set-up. He let you think you were going to win, then put the hammer down. You never had a chance.
I'd put some serious thought into the product from the link I posted above, or stop racing stuff with which you have absolutely no chance. If anything, you're comic relief for these guys.
Sorry if that came across as harsh, but that's the way it is.
You will need more then that link ....to beat him.

Life is not only time paradoxically, it is the denial of time!
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
When you are down...look up...get up...and don't ever give up....
If it was the Audi S4 you were messing with a pretty elaborate piece of machinery, 3.0 V6 with twin turbo's putting out somewhere around 315 hp stock on an all wheel drive system, I have a friend who has one and has put a bit of money in it. Now he's turning close to 500hp and the damn thing will snap your neck out of the hole.

Of coarse I do, I never could or would never be able to beat any of these vehicles if my life depended on it. It's all just a fun game for me and is to never be taken seriously. I just get a kick out of these fellas when they see a 6000+ lbs truck take off with the pedal to floor and watch them fumble around in some sort of confusion to why I am doing this.
Once again I am not a racer nor do I want to fix up my truck to be able to keep up with these high performance cars. If I was to get serious about it I would be lookin into buying a Lightning or a Cobra Mustang, not a plain old F150. If I was lined up with a Ferrari, I would do the exact same thing, it's all kind of fun for me and the buds get a kick out of it when they are in the truck with me.
in a drag race when it comes to little zippy car versus big truck, little zippy car will always take the cake.
although when big truck hooks chains with little zippy car thats when the fun begins. 300 horsepower, all wheel drive, and twin turbos dont do much when their getting dragged around the parking lot like a rag doll.

S4's have never been fitted with a 3.0l V6... either NA or turboed
The first Gen came with a variant of the venerable 2.2l 5 potter out of the original quattro (great engine too, capable of 500+hp without lifting the heads), or the option of a 4.2l V8
The B5 came with the twin turbo 2.7l V6... also capable of lots of power (not quite as reliable though)
The B6 and B7 have had the 4.2l NA V8...
