salt and drivers window

i like clean windows. recently when i roll down my window and roll it back up it comes up and is full of salt/streaks. the passenger side does not do it. now my door does have a crack in it on the right bottom horizontal from the bottom about a inch and half long. i dont get it. the seal looks good. whats going on here? i live in minnestota and we dont have alot of snow, so not alot of salt going on. im thinking too much condensation in the panel area where it seats itself. maybe i could bend the rubber and pour water down it and let it drip out the drip holes. i imagine im getting a new door anyway and this time im gonna insist on a demo truck, the 250 diesel for kicks and giggles, cuz thats gonna be my new truck. kids are getting bigger and i like the fact i can put more tile and stone on the bed. anyway, any of u had this problem?

Is it salt streaks or scratches from abrasive stone dust? The driver's window goes up and down more often and any abrasive stuck in those seal strips gets more "swipes" at scratching your window.

If it is just salt, flushing is the only solution besides replacing the strips. You could mess up electricals in the door with too much water.

Thanks for using FTE!
