I recently pulled out some rather large stumops with my dually. It pulled them out all 9 of them except one it did not so I did not keep trying too hard after it would not even wiggle at all.I was impressed what 4x4 low with duallys and a keen pulling touch would do.Thats all the pics guys..Moderator dont get touchy ok butjust wanna show the guys 300 real wheel horsepower pump gas turbo hayabusa, air shifter with air contained in the extended swingarm 8.7 178mph in the 1/4 mile no wheelie bar..

A serious note I'm not bashing my own breed but comon 53,000 and all they had to do is wet sand/buff or whatever 10 more minutes:

Someone with some corporate connections should seriously advise them that the paint finish is sub-standard that orange(black)peel is shall I say "unacceptable" that paint department must be in a major big hurry uh oh hurry up 2 minutes left to get-R-buffed out and shipped out gotta make up that billion dollar loss somehow.

Another FTE poster posted on superduty forum that the 08 headlight resemble
"clark griswalds woody station wagon in the movie national lampoons vacation (wally world)"
I just could not stop laughing because hes so RIGHT..

I saw that post as well, and I laughed, but I like the new look.

Thank you for the pics though.

i think someone had posted paint was an issue with the '08's.

/me thinks the dealer wants to take a trip to bermuda on you.

/me thinks you should wait for them to get the paint issues, any emissions/engine gremlins, and the supply demand new truck got o have it fuzz to wear off.

Besides jaybird, ordering your truck, and getting EXACTLY what you want on it, and not having to settle for something that you wouldnt want, will make it all the more worth it to you in the end.

Is this at your dealership only? I am in process of buying an 07 6.0 but my dealer only says $3000 rebate, and even though I've always owned fords I don't qualify for the loyalty rebate since I don't own a "Super Duty" just 3 F250's, 1 350, and a bunch more at the moment.. wait I do have an 89 FSuperDuty... does that count

I need to look closer at the paint, but I think most new vehicles have a little peel

I would think that you would qualify for that SD rebate. Regardless, how badly can that peel issue affect the vehicle in the long run?

Update:

The dale jarrett ford dealership called me up yesterday and told me they still have that F250 08 that I test drove and they will allow me 14,000 trade in now.

They use edmonds.com trade in value but when I got home I got on edmonds and the trade value I came up with was 15,300 and they only could muster up 12,000 on edmonds.
That burns my azz when a dealer wants msrp but wants to aloow me under trade in value for this market area.
Anywhoot, they can't seem to find that 08 a new home yet so,now there ready to deal.
I said too late I allreadydrove 1 1/2hrs up there once and got treated unfair;not again.

53-54,000 MUST BE STEEP TOO STEEP FOR AN 08 F250 CAUSE THEY STILL HAVE THAT TRUCK ALMOST A WEEK LATER.

i hear you on the assburning, but the problem is they have discounted 06's so much that the market is flooded w/ used trucks and not enough buyers so this makes all used trucks value much less than they were a few months ago..my friend traded in his 04 and only got 21K for it w/ 35K, 6.0L,supercab..but got in a new 06 for less of a payment.. they will not discount the new models yet, it will be a while before that happens although you should be a bot closer than that on you trade and a little on the truck. I would think realistically they should have no problem giving you another $2500 on the trade and the same on the '08. so 5k would be a big difference..they have room to move.. i work at a dealer and know the game..good luck.

Keep that 7.3L!!!!!! at least you might get lucky and someone might offer you more $$ on a private sale. Then get an '09 that has the bugs worked out of it, to me that would be the way to go. Your choice though, just my 2 cents worth.

Ya know a few years ago these bigger dealerships were where the good deals could be had and the small town dealerships were trying to make up there loses by stiffing the old lady or old man.

Well I think the tide has turned.

I have been to several bigger dealerships in the past 5 or so years and they can't seem to do more than just tell ya take it or leave it we are #1 in this area in sales.

PFFF.I think they are just too big now and they are on the downsope toward disasterious bankruptcy.

In my trade in I'm with ya on going to a different dealer.

Two months ago I was interested in trading in locally for a used 06 cc 6.0 dually 4x4 and my local ford dealer offered me 17,200 on my truck. They wanted 26,000 for theres. So,anyway I just held off and decided to wait for the new 08 model year

I have a gut feeling that on a new 53,000 msrp thay would allow me 17,000-18,000 and they may even chop the msrp 2,000.

The only delima is that they don't have any 08's yet.

I went down there to the local ford dealer the other day and the salesman/farmer was not in work yet so,I'll go back this week and see about how much trade in value and actual pricing one out for me would look.
