Turn Signal in Tow Mirrors?

I have an 04 F-350 SD w/ the tow mirrors that have the turn signals in them and I was wondering how to take the lense out to replace it. I'm looking to replace them with the smoke tinted ones and from what I read about them all you do is pull the old ones out but I want to make sure that there are no hidden clips or anything like that. Thanks for the help.

If you aim the mirror all the way to one side, you can look back behind the mirror and see two clips on each side, I believe. You release them and the whole backside of the mirror, including lens, comes off. You'll have to unplug the light once you've got it partly separated.

yeah there should be i believe 2 or 3 clips that you lift up with a long skinny flat head screw driver...pushg and viola the hole front of the mirror comes of...then like ryan said unpug the light an squize the butterfly cips to remove the lense...just be sure not to snap them, theyr are plastic

If you do replace them and there is nothing wrong with them let me know if you want to get rid of the old ones, one of mine is cracked.

I wish they would put those indicators way up on the front fenders like Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge did back in the 60's. It helps the driver visualize his moves without taking his eyes off the road. It also helps other drivers anticipate your move sooner. .............and if you're and "old geezer", it helps to remind your that "YOUR FRICKEN BLINKERS ARE STILL ON''.
