Fuel Guage not working

I was wondering if this might be a common problem with this year of van. I have a 1991 Ford E-250 Van. It is equipped with a 5.8L and automatic. The fuel Guage is not working. The Sending units have both been replaced (dual tanks). I have also installed another Guage. I am stummped. The wiring looks good. Would it be possible that the Tank slector switch Is switching the power to the tanks and not the guage. The front tank will read every great once in awhile

Sounds like a bad ground. I have a '89 E350 with a 5.8 and have yet to find where the problem is. Let me know if you have any luck.
