1978 Ford Ranchero Help

I have a 1978 GT. There are a couple of places out there that specialize in Torino/LTDII/Ranchero parts (Autokrafters and Dearborn Classics). There isn't a huge market for these cars right now although I think that there will be. This model Ranchero is built on the LTD II base so a lot of parts exchange.

actually, it's built on the full size LTD frame, so you can find a lot of suspension/engine parts in a salvage yard. Ford/Lincoln/Mercury all fit.And Dearborn Classics has a free catalog with tons of parts...

1978 Ford Ranchero Help

My 78 Ranchero GT is in the early stage of work. I got a set of original 1978 Ford shop manuals from Walter Miller (www.autolit.com) for about $80.00. This has been incredibly useful for info about basic systems.

1978 Ford Ranchero Help

regarding ranchero, ford t-bird and cougar(2 dr) have interchangeable door panels, seats, other deluxe items. I knew someone who put a t-bird interior in one, along with the power windows, power seat, more. In '79, Ford had "Limited" versions available that used some t-bird interiors, mainly to use up the parts. gook luck with your 78
