Motor mounts
LAST EDITED ON 16-Jan-01 AT 02:28 PM (EST)[p] You will definitely need different motor mounts. When I installed a 460 in my '79 Ranchero I got all the harware from the donor car ('76 T-bird). Everything bolted right in(kinda scary, working on a Ford and everything bolts right in, ha ha), motor mounts, tranny mounts, keep the a/c- power streeing brackets(A6 compressor will fit) and a/c lines will work with no mods, keep all the pulleys, keep the better saginaw P/S pump, make sure it is off of car that has power brakes NOT hydro-boost type system or you will have an extra return line tat has to be plugged ( P/S hose will have to be modified, no problem). If you are going to use the D3VE-A2A heads make sure you drill and tap emission holes on the front & back(exhaust side) of the head and install allen head type plugs!!! Radiator, A/c condenser, tranny crossmember has to be tack-welded in place( if you use from a '76 T-bird). Stock exhausts manifolds will work, but won't bolt right up to existing exhaust. Hooker headers has PN 6126 to fit this combo, I've got them and they fit great & you can still get starter & P/S box out without header removal!! Radiator needs to be at least 3 core and a 7 blade clutch fan is recommended, and a fan shroud that "fits", same upper & lower rad. hoses for a '76 T-bird fit this application. I know this is more info than you asked for but I just thought it would help.
