I was thinking that the last year of the straight front axle for the 2wd's were sometime in the 60s but now 100% on that. Am I close? They had drum brakes then also, right?

1964 was the last year of the straight axle on 4x2's. The Twin-I-Beam debuted on the 1965 model year. Keep it Ford.

Exclamation 3006 1964/66

1964/1966 F350's have a solid front axle. The Twin I Beam front end came along on F350's in 1967.

There are no factory 4 Wheel Drive F350's till 1979.
